Apply to become a Permanent Resident in Canada
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) accelerates the Permanent Resident application process for skilled and/or experienced workers, experienced business persons and their family members who want to settle in BC permanently. It allows nominees to apply for Permanent Resident status through Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) under the fast-tracked Provincial Nominee stream – which can be faster than applying through many federal immigration streams.”
Provincial Nominee Program
For those who meet the BC Government’s criteria, this is a fast-tracked method of application for permanent residency. Our first role with BC PNP clients, is to evaluate their situation. We encourage students to also let us evaluate their eligibility to qualify for BC PNP. If you are aware of the process as a student, we can direct you as how to best meet the program’s qualifications.
If found to be successful candidate then prepare and apply to get approvals from the provincial government to file permanent resident application with the CIC under the BCPNP category.
BC PNP Success Story
The following is a recent case in which we provided assistance to a student going through the provincial nominee program (PNP) application process. The candidate approached us in the first week of the month. The first observation while evaluating the candidate’s application was that the category allowing the candidate to apply was closing on the month end. The candidate was guided throughout the process from document collection to completing of the application. As a result the candidate met the limited time frame to submit the application and won the approval the provincial government for the first stage of the process.
The student’s story took a detour, however, when she decided to deal with the second stage of the permanent resident application on her own. The student stumbled midway through the process to obtain the necessary documents and got in touch again for further assistance. We assisted in completing the application process with the CIC, however in the meantime there was an overlapping issue of a lapsing work permit. The candidate was not aware of this aspect of the application process, which was also then separately and effectively dealt with.

This is one of the ways to apply for permanent residency. We then provide a comprehensive service of assistance from obtaining necessary documents to preparing and applying to CIC.
